Bias-Tee, DC-Block, Open/Short
We offer a range of essential components for coaxial applications, including BIAS-TEE, DC block, and open/short solutions.
- BIAS-TEE components allow for the injection of DC while permitting RF signals to pass through, commonly used in RF and microwave circuits.
- DC blocks isolate DC sources from RF circuits, preventing bias or damage.
- Open/short solutions indicate the state of connections in circuits or cables, ensuring proper functionality.
These components are vital for various RF and microwave applications, providing reliable signal transmission and circuit protection.

COAXIAL BIAS-TEE
A coaxial BIAS-TEE is a component used to inject direct current (DC) through a coaxial cable while allowing radio frequency signals to pass through the cable. It’s typically a third-party injection filter used in RF and microwave circuits to power amplifiers or other devices that require a DC power supply.
DC BLOCK
A DC blocker is a component that blocks direct current components from passing through a circuit while allowing alternating current signals to pass. It’s typically used to isolate or separate a DC source from an RF circuit to prevent DC bias or damage from occurring in an RF circuit.
OPEN/SHORT
Open and Short are two different states for a connection in a circuit or cable.
- An “Open” means the connection is broken, indicating there’s no electrical continuity between the conductors.
- A “Short” means the connection is short-circuited, indicating there’s a direct electrical connection between the conductors, usually through a short circuit between them.
